Dennis Kucinich
for President of the USA
| Website
Congressman Dennis Kucinich has a platform that is light-years ahead of his opponents'. Where other candidates are pushing mandatory insurance schemes which would leave big-money interests in control and put the burden of obtaining coverage on the consumer, Kucinich proposes a much simpler and equitable single-payer scheme which covers everyone and cuts out the expensive middlemen. While the so-called major candidates won't commit to end the illegal and immoral occupation of Iraq, Kucinich has a plan to do just that. Kucinich also
proposes to cut the bloated Pentagon budget in order to fund education and other human needs, yet another position his opponents won't touch. And the list goes on. But a candidate's progressive platform is of little value unless that candidate will act on that platform once elected. We trust Kucinich to follow through with these ideas because he has a lifetime record of fighting for the ordinary person. Where other candidates supported the conquest of Iraq until it became too much of a political liability, Kucinich worked against the war from day one. Unlike any other current candidate in the race, Kucinich has stood up for the rule of law by moving for the impeachment of Dick Cheney for high crimes against the Constitution and the American people. As President. Kucinich will represent our interests, because he shares our values. He's one of us.

Jerry Bennett
for US Representative, Illinois district #3.
| Website
Palos Hills Mayor Jerry Bennett has the best platform and the most relevant experience of the candidates running for the District Three Congressional seat.
Stan Jagla
for US Representative, Illinois district #6.
| Website
Roselle businessman Stan Jagla, running in the Sixth District, has the
independence necessary to fight for change in these special
interest-dominated times. He is committed to ending the occupation of
Iraq and to defending the rights of the American people.

Danny Davis
for US Representative, Illinois district #7.
| Website
District Seven incumbent Congressman Danny Davis has an outstanding record of standing up for the needy and vulnerable. He is endorsed over challenger Robert Dallas.
Randi Scheurer
for US Representative, Illinois district #8.
| Website
Peace activist Randi Scheurer is the clear choice for District Eight.
Incumbent Melissa Bean cast the deciding vote in favor of CAFTA and
has voted with the Republicans on everything from the Iraq war, to tax
cuts to the rich, to the draconian bankruptcy laws, and even in their
attempt to exploit Terri Schiavo for political gain. Scheurer is
committed to bringing the troops home and will represent the people of
her district, not the big-money interests to whom Bean has sold out.

Janice Schakowsky
for US Representative, Illinois district #9.
| Website
We are unhappy with Ninth District incumbent Janice Schakowsky's
giving short shrift to independent progressive candidates such as
Christine Cegelis, but there's no denying Schakowsky's good
progressive voting record. Challenger John Nocita writes on his web
site that the current Congress "is controlled by the liberal left wing
of the Democratic party"; he obviously has a differing view than we do
of a leadership that has ruled impeachment off the table and which
keeps throwing money away on an illegal and unjust occupation.
Schakowsky is endorsed for this seat.

Dan Seals
for US Representative, Illinois district #10.
| Website
Marketing executive Dan Seals is endorsed in the Tenth over consultant
Jay Footlik. At least until recently the latter's one and only campaign issue seems to be his
unconditional support of and loyalty to Israel, a nation which
oppresses large segments of its population and which has launched
brutal attacks against its neighbors.

John Laesch
for US Representative, Illinois district #14.
| Website
Carpenter John Laesch is our choice in District Fourteen. While other
candidates have moved to the right on the issues or avoided taking any
stands at all, Laesch has stood firm against unnecessary war, for
non-profit universal health care, and against the scapegoating of
immigrants.
